Updating Vehicle Graphics
Some Vehicles are expected to have a very long service life, this is especially true for Catering vehicles which are often Updating Vehicle Graphics when they change hands or enter a new market. This is an example of one such vehicle that has been given a new lease of life and an updated appearance.
DMS Graphics Ltd was approached by Daniel from Inn Any Event which is a local event company that was looking for a vehicle graphics supplier close to maidstone kent to help freshen up the branding on their newly purchased second-hand Catering vehicle, which was in desperate need of its Vehicle Graphics updating.

As you can see the Graphics were old-fashioned and the vehicle looked very tired. This did not fit well with the image that Inn Any Event is trying to develop.
Designing Vehicle Graphics
When designing vehicle graphics, it is important to communicate with the client as to their desired image. It is also important to consider the best way to update the vehicle graphics to suit the vehicle’s design and condition. With this particular vehicle, a deliberate attempt has been made to improve the apparent condition of the vehicle paintwork by using large panel prints rather than individual lettering.
Design Concept Updating Vehicle Graphics
After the initial design consultation, DMS Graphics Ltd worked on the initial design concepts of a new image for the client. The first job was to create a new logo for what is now being called the Tommys Food Truck.
DMS and Inn Any Event decided to go with a clean flat logo to tie into a more modern image for the vehicle and for the service moving forward.
DMS Graphics Ltd then went on to produce the initial design concept for the vehicle. The Update Vehicle Graphics needed to make the vehicle look more modern which was achieved with large format digitally printed vehicle graphics.
Once the initial concept is presented to the client, DMS will fine-tune to the customer’s requirement, until the desired result is achieved with the design.
Production Of Vehicle Graphics
Using our in-house Digital Print Machinery and graphics plotter we produced the large side images of a high-resolution chalkboard with food images at each end. DMS Graphics sourced the high-resolution images from the image library as it is important to attain the highest resolution for this purpose.
the vehicle graphics were produced using high-grade airflow Polymeric vinyl which is ideal for larger flat areas and minimal conformity.
Installation
DMS Graphics then proceeded to the fitting stage using our in-house fitting team at our Tovil office. DMS and Inn Any Event are very pleased with the final result as we feel that the vehicle has been transformed.

In Conclusion
It is important to remember that when you are Updating vehicle graphics, it is possible to breathe new life into most vehicles. As long as the correct preparation and cleaning are carried out. This is not the first time that we have updated an older vehicle and it definitely will not be the last. It is great for us at DMS to make something look great.
