Real Eating Company Coffee Shop Branding Maidstone
Recently DMS Graphics was approached by S&G Shopfitters to help with the Real Eating Company Coffee Shop branding in Maidstone Kent.
The Real Eating Company was created by Helena Hudson in January 2004. Helena moved to the South Coast in 2001 with her family. She quickly spotted the potential for a high-quality British casual dining café and coffee concept in the South East. Following a successful advertising career in London, Helena diverted her business expertise, energy, and funds into creating her own business from scratch. Today, the Real Eating Company is a well-established business in the South East.
I liked working with the Real Eating Company because they are very hands-on, and not a massive corporation. I was lucky enough to meet Helena onsite as she visited before opening to check everything was going well. it was good to see her passion for this business. The Coffee is great too!
Coffe Shop Fascia Sign
Real Eating Company Coffee Shop branding was very subtle with a limited colour pallette Of grey and White. This created a nice quality feel. For the Fascia sign they chose 300mm Flat Cut metal letter which are powder coated white. brass locators are the fitted to the rear of the letters to create the stand off 3D effect. The shope front is Painted in grey and and there was a requirement for vinyl graphics either side of the doorway. Due to the intrecate nature of the lettering it was nescessary to print the text on a colour matched grey background which also provided protection from the elements a the letters could not be picked off.
Internal Coffee Shop Branding
Real Eating company like to comission a local scene which is the transfered on to their coffee cups. Our job was to create a wall art for the Coffee Shop internal branding. For this we used the same grade vinyl as on the external fascia. This allowed us to reproduce the Artwork on a grey background which is mounted to 3mm aluminum composite panel with edge wrapping.
Overcoming obstacles in Coffe Shop branding
Initially the internal branding was due to be installed using cut vinyl. After visiting site and trying to install it wa clear that the paint used would not allow correct adhesion. After talking with Helena onsite it was decided that we would use the panel approch which, I wthink was a good choice.
