Recently DMS Graphics Ltd was asked to design and produce the DiamondBrite Vehicle Wrap for their promotional Ford Puma ST. Working closely with Lance Boseley From JewelUltra the design was developed to reflect the Marketing Desires of the company.
The Brief
Initially, the brief was to design a livery for the ford Focus RS which reflected the DiamondBrite Brand alone. Lance had asked for the car to remember the previous “Covered in Diamonds” advertising campaign. The first car was going to be a black car with the corporate identity applied which, made for quite an easy design and livery transition. Unfortunately, it was impossible for DiamondBrite to secure delivery of the Focus in time for it to be used as an effective advertising tool.

The Change
At this point, Lance was able to secure the delivery of the limited edition Ford Puma ST in the colour “Mean Green”. This colour matched closely to the Greens that DiamondBrite has used in the past. This opened up different design channels and diverted the thought process to create a more effective marketing tool.

DiamondBrite are providing sponsorship For MB Motorsport for the 2021 season of the British Touring Car Championship. Lance had the Idea to create a promotional vehicle that advertised the DiamondBrite brand and showed the sponsorship involvement in the BTCC. This provided a great opportunity to design and produce a 50/50 livery.

Production
This new approach leads to some flexible production approaches. To Produce the DiamondBrite Vehicle wrap DMS would need to include traditional vehicle livery approaches and vehicle wrapping techniques.
A large section of the car was to be left in the original manufacturer’s paintwork so that the green area would stand out and DiamondBrite products could be used to polish the car. The rear quarter was to be wrapped in a diamond print to tie in with the corporate identity. DMS also needed to emulate the actual Touring Car liver and develop it to include DiamondBrite Branding. All DiamondBrite logo text was to be produced as Decals using reflective vinyl. DMS graphics Ltd Produced the complete livery using very high-Quality vinyl and reflective materials.
The touring car side of the vehicle was wrapped entirely in Avery Supreme Wrapping Vinyl and then the printed elements were overlaid using a mixture of Avery Wrapping Films and digitally printed reflective vinyl.
Installing the DiamondBrite Vehicle Wrap
When it comes to the installation of a vehicle wrap, it is wise to turn to the experts. DMS Graphics Ltd worked with Kentwraps to install the livery. The installation crews at Kentwraps which is owned and managed by Chris Hodges have produced some pretty amazing vehicle wraps and Mark at DMS Graphics felt that they would provide the best quality installation for their products. Watch the Time lapse of Chris and his team as they install the vehicle wrap.
