Rogate Construction Signs
DMS Graphics Ltd, working in conjunction with Rocket Base Design, completed the production and installation of the Development and Construction Signs at The Orchard Yard Development in Wingham, Kent. Working under brief from the Client and Designer, DMS Graphics Ltd produces large development and sales signage for the construction site.
Development and Construction Signs
At the Main Entrance of the Sign, DMS installed this 4.5 m High aluminium composite rail sign using 3 aluminium 5 m x 76 mm signposts mounted 1 metre in concrete.
On either side of the Main sign, DMS installed a 1 x 6 m flag pole with a 2.5 m flag on each pole. The size of the sign and the subtle design tied in with development identity also helped to hide sections of the development from the outside world.
Orchard yard is set within a very picturesque part of Kent, on the very edge of the town of Wingham. It is a prestigious development for the over 55’s and therefore needs a clean and subtle design to fit in with the surrounding area and the desired market.
We feel the Design provided by Rocket Base blended well with the image required.
At the Rear of the Site, DMS Graphics limited installed a 2.4 m x 2 m large rail sign on 3 x 4 m x 76 mm aluminium signposts. Again the development branding was carried on so that the site was marked using one brand.
To the front of the site, there is an access road, to carry on with the branded theme DMS Graphics Ltd rebranded existing signs with the new corporate image. The existing sign has seen heavy traffic due to large deliveries and has taken impact from any vehicles. When DMS first installed this sign over two years ago, the decision was made to use 76 mm x 5 m Steel legs as it would be harder to damage the steel. You may notice in the picture that the leg has been tilted over which, was due to it being hit by a lorry. DMS Graphics installed a new sign panel over the existing sign because the legs were still standing strong.
The decision to use the stronger metal legs for this location has proven to be a good decision as, the sign panels needed replacing after the impact but, the legs are still strong.
